An Art Nouveau era, repoussé locket, modeled in 10k yellow gold, that features the image of a young pharaoh, surrounded by three lotus blossoms. Our Egyptian friend wears a blasé expression, along with his Nemes headdress— perhaps he is the boy king Tutankhamen. This locket is engraved, on the reverse, with the monogram WCL, in ribboning calligraphic script. The original photo rings and covers are present. It hangs from a weighty jump ring. This locket is finished with a "bloom," a process that brings a layer of fine gold to the jewel's surface, givingit a rich, highgold color. These solid gold, turn-of-the-century,repoussé lockets are becoming quite rare.We love them as signature pieces— from a distance this reads like an elegant gold disc; it reveals its unusual subject only as the wearer is approached!
